Description

The smell immediately reveals that this is a fine barrel of aged rum. The oak and esters reveal this immediately. As you taste a sip, then you know that this is a Barbados rum.

After 19 years in the same ex-bourbon barrel, of which 11 years in the tropics, the taste of oak mixed with vanilla is what you notice first. Immediately followed by tropical fruit with top notes of banana and coconut. Flavors such as dark chocolate, and roasted nuts complement the whole. The aftertaste is full of tropical fruit with still the overripe banana as an overtone.
